All that nice grass going to waste I would put it in some plastic bags and make compost. Can you get peat over there, we are soon to be banned from using it but there is not a really good alterative. You always make your garden look homely, rock on.

Does the insurance company feel the same about the car? Will they repair it? This is totally new to me.

Hmmm... I don't think I have ever built a levee in my life.....or had baby squirrels in a plastic bag in my garage. Once my neighbor had baby mice in her piano. Then they died in there after their mama was caught in a trap, and whenever neighbor played the piano, the stink of something dead floated up in her face. Sorry. I got a little carried away. LOL

Reading this reminds me that spring is truly here...Hard for me it is to believe that the season is almost over.

Squirrels are also known to chew on phone wires - they like the
taste, apparently. I'd worry they were sampling the car's wiring, and as soon as mama and her babies move on, maybe you can get a handyman to patch up the holes where they get in.
