I've never tried making up fake names. I have this habit of numbering people when I write--son #1, grandson #2, nephew #3 and in the order of which they were born. LOL
I don't know how I got started on that. Other than relatives, I usually just use first names, such as Friend Richard.

I guess the obvious rationale is "better safe than sorry!" I use various user names as well ( usually something semi-humorous ), simply because my first name is too common, and my last name is too long . . .

Good thinking FS not criticising just thinking of your welfare. People on the tele will say things that they would not dream of telling a neighbour, telling the world seems different.
