Reading this reminds me that the more things change, the more they stay the same.

Probably one day robots will march to war Ray, I think we must be in a very early stage of civilization, or we would have destroyed the planet.

Re:
Fascinating insights, Jay, thank you. And yes I am aware there was no shortage of brutality. My Father was a decorated Korean war vet and his experiences were absolutely heartbreaking...for myself, he summed it up truthfully - when a foreign government enables murderous regimes, they are giving fodder to the rebels, fighters, etc. and enlarging the conflict by leaps and bounds, which of course enriches the elites on both sides. A lose/lose nightmare for everyone else..a mess indeed!

The book will be offered here first. After all, it was Blogit that gave me the discipline to do such a thing, Blogit and talented people like you that not only inspired me, but gave those all important pats on the back that a writer needs from time to time. Something that cannot be found anywhere else...So thank you.

I would suppose that the question should be posed to those in the mass graves in both Cambodia, and Iraq. I remember those days, I was there in Vietnam, we just wanted to win and Johnson and Mcnamara were busy sending messages to the north by bombing meaningless targets and other BS stuff, by not letting us shot back until permission was gained, if permission was gained. This of course drove many American military to great hatred of both the enemy and Washington. We just wanted to win and come home, but if you have noticed, after the creation of the UN, wars are no longer won, but drawn out...Its all a mess.
