LITTLE HOUSE OUT BACK
Oh no! Don't you just hate it when that happens! I get terribly upset when my toilet clogs let alone what you went through! Bless You!

I agree. Many do not like that type job but it is essential! I have a cousin whose Dad was a plumber. He did not want to get dirty. He left the state to avoid drama. He became a bus driver. Whenever he would come visit any relative, he would always attempt to repair plumbing or appear as an inspector. I finally asked why he did not want to be plumber and get paid, yet you want to be MR. FIX IT for in-laws plumbing. He could not answer.

With a house this old most things are a problem but you are right nothing like this and who knows how long it has been. It is thought to be out in the street now. We have a yard full of people working....

It appears to be much worse than we thought. We have a crew of men working and now a backhoe is out there. They think it is in the street which will mean it is the city or some governmental entity anyway.

Yes trees can be hard on a house even if they are yards away. At least the Pecan trees are something, I remember George collecting the nuts last fall. Good job to get the piping fixed though and it seems you have found the right guy to do the job.

I'm glad you're getting it fixed! Of all the little household disasters that befall us occasionally a drain backing up can be the worst and most disgusting...

I wish you well in getting the problem resolved...I myself just so happened to have a plumber come to my house today. My problem was no where near as severe as the one you are dealing with...Ah yes, it will pass.

That is the main reason I gave up the old family home and started living in apartments. I got so tired of trying to make do with RotoRooter and putting off dealing with tree roots. I hope it does not cost you an excessive amount of money.
