I guess there'll be another trip by truck to collect your comfortable bed! Meanwhile, I which the patient well and hope the surgery is successful and without further complications!

My wife went through eye surgery recently as well ( at the Shield's Institute in Philadelphia, supposedly the best in the nation ) so I know what you're up against! ( she had Primary Aquired Melanoma in her left eye ) Very dramatic and stressful, but we got through it. I hope everything works out for the best. And being in a secluded place with no one around but the cats doesn't really sound like too bad of a proposition . . .

Re: CCT,
The airfare is reasonable if one waits for a good one. Southwest Airlines, at present, offers one way for around $150, Denver to Seattle. I could mail the same stuff I'll carry as luggage for... maybe the same amount. Postage is amazingly high, these days!
Sunday morning, one of the lads in the gaming group, who had come down Saturday from Denver where he lives, drove me up on his way home. Good company, interesting conversation, and early delivery to the airport!

Quite interesting Ciel , I am amazed that your bed is still there, Good idea about the baggage, I wonder how much the air fare is . Also how did you get to the airport.

Re: Pat,
It has been ages since I saw Woodland Park Zoo! Maybe I should make the trip up there while I am here.
And, thanks, I really do hope they manage to do it right... to do it, this time!

Got a mother's day call from my Seattle son as he was walking
little Katie along paths that go near or through the zoo. It's always a joy to talk to him, and it always makes me homesick for that city. So your lovely post refreshes and expands on that morning of longing for Seattle's bright gloom. I hope the surgery goes flawlessly and you and your two bags are on your way without a hitch when the time comes. :)
