About the pills... I know what you mean. Meeka finished the last of her antibiotics yesterday. I had to disguise them in lunch meat and cheese to make sure they went down the hatch, lol.

Glad you dog is better. After fighting the pill battle with my Dalmatian, often giving him the same pill three or four times and being in danger of losing a hand as I stuck it down his throat around all those teeth, I discovered that he will do anything for chicken! Glad your liver wurst worked.

So sorry your doggie got injured. So glad he is better today.
The rest of your post is funny. You are fun to read even when it contains pain or sickness for doggie.

Hmmm . . . you must have done something previously concerning bandages that made him somewhat leery! I'm glad he behaved for the vet tech! As far as those pills are concerned, my wife goes through something similar from time to time with her cats. She ended up getting something along the lines of a "pea shooter." A slight squeeze of the throat to force open the mouth and -whoosh!- down the gullet it goes! Glad to hear Ben is doing much better . . .

Naut,
I'm so sorry to hear that Ben was hurt, but VERY relieved to find him already feeling better. Give him a scratch behind the ears for me (or, whatever you do for a dog....I'm mostly a cat person, so not really "up" on the current trends in doggie comforting!).

Cheese - malleable and don't need a big piece either. Was sorry to read that Ben got hurt; it seems to be a week for doggie action. Had some here too

I forget what my father did to get his Doberman to take his medicine. Whatever he did it worked.

Liverwurst... good call!
I use hamburger if it's handy, or sausage... Of course, with Davy, I can just toss it in the air like a treat, and he will snatch it, with all four feet off the ground, and dog it down.
