At least you've been able to admit your faults and move on FSI. Good for you!

I hate to sound somewhat cynical, but a "non-trusting" attitude isn't always necessarily bad. You can always give people the benefit of the doubt, but being cautious and weary keeps you from getting taken advantage of too. There has to be a balance.

dealing with people does need a serene attitude sometimes because when you get the nightmare one it's hard to not tlet them spoil your whole day and harder still to not let that leak out

You never know when and where a "bad apple" will show, but there are so many good and decent people who will go a mile to do the right thing.

Customer service is not an easy job. I have been on both sides. At the stadium we are told to apologize and thank them for bringing the problem to our attention. It sucks when they are drunk and belligerent but nonetheless it's what we do.
I used to work in a toy store and my buttons could get pushed so easily. I understand where you are coming from. The good thing is that you recognized what you were doing wrong and changed.

Let he who is innocent throw the first stone. I probably would be annoyed if I had to key
in my postcode. It will never happen though because I always pay with cash .
