For me, experience is the best teacher! The bottom line is to make money and when a customer leaves without a purchase it's never good in my estimation! It is very nice to read how you have grown in the business world! sam

I think that you have grown so much in how to negotiate in business and

also you are a very astute business man. always putting the client first so that happiness = a return visit.... for me your understanding is correct in every aspect.

FSI

You have terrific customer rapport after all your time working there and a personality to act your own natural kind self.

I am, sure you are diplomatic FS . You have had plenty of experience, some would not assimilate  the best way to do things ever.

That's it, FSI. We learn through experience, and now you have come to that place where your learning can pay off. Good post!
