Sam
I have always been one to turn what I have into something else if I needed it to be. However, I have a few antiques that do not get touched. Be blessed, I hope you are feeling better.

What a great compliment. I don't think of it as so much creativity but more necessity. I will post photos. I will go step by step if anyone is interested.

Wow - what a great idea! Is there anything you can't do, Justi??
I will be looking forward to pictures too. I've been wondering about an inexpensive way to help my kitchen, but my creative powers are very limited, so I tend to copy.....

If it all works out as I envision it I will post photos. I agree and I have not messed up a ham or a Ruben sandwich.

That sounds like a nice and inexpensive way to liven up the kitchen! And I can't blame George . . . ham sandwiches aren't supposed to be crunchy!

I am having a lot of fun. George is more of a perfectionist than I and he will relax when it is all done and meets his approval. I will just love it I know.

Oh dear lady I have lots of experience in making over some item. Like you, I feel it takes on a new life when it has been refurbished. Thank you for the encouragement. Yes I spoil him and he spoils me... I love it.

Goodness Justi I would never have thought it possible. You and George must both be extremely patient people. AS much as I love your idea, I tremble to think of doing it on my stained worktop, .

fabulous, I love it when creativity trumps what those with plenty of
money have no idea what real satisfaction of achievemnet is....and it isn't like any one elses either, it is yours. And of course George is spoilt, just like you intend for him to be.

That sounds like a splendid idea! And it certainly hardens faster than the 'other' granite, which takes millions of years! Just keep it out of your sandwiches...
