I can understand that.. it's always nice to have someone to talk to
mostly to start or end your day.. to feel like you matter in life.. and that life itself matters.
It's also good to have more than a few friends.. especially when you don't really have much family around you.
You need to have many options, as sometimes people get busy in life, and sometimes things change. It's always good to have real friendship and people you can talk to.. that can help lift your spirits at times too.
I know you like Blogit.. but it doesn't seem quite as populated as it used to be.. there are many other forums and stuff that are free and interest based that you could talk to random people and even make friends.. even blogging sites I'm sure.
Don't limit yourself to one source when you are seeking social interaction.
