you would be surprised, your things have more value than you think, they dont have to be expensive things, clothes are a big draw, shoes, just about anything, even broken things sell.

i have been slowly decluttering my life. i can't seem to get the kids to take their stuff with them. maybe that's a sign to go ahead and sell it off

They are some nice antiques among them and like you I would rather that he had fun with the money than let my stuff sit in boxes for more years.
