there is enough salt in the state kansas to supply the entire world for centuries. it has been estimated that 5,000,000,000,000,000 tons of salt lie beneath the surface, which, if mined and spread over the state, would cover the ground to a depth of 37 feet. and this was from a clipping dated 1958....
