I son't think 'lazy' and making a gallon of chicken soup for others should be in the same sentence, Justi.
I know you'll enjoy your visit with family. As for grandson, all one has to do is ask a few neutral questions, then listen without judging, and they usually open up. Even if he doesn't, I'm sure he'll appreciate the interest, and will remember it, and where to go when he eventually does want to talk.

That’s my idea of snow. We ourselves have a soup supper before service on Wednesday (that might include chili and vegetable chili and little sandwiches) and refreshments after it love. BC-A, Bill’s R®st

You do fine Justi, you can't run around in short skirts and high heels know one would expect you to.
You are a good girl making the soup.

A wonderful post, lovely to read about your grandchild being with you. In writing for Blogit I post to word first as many others do. God Bless you and George

I make several copies of everything! First I write it out in longhand, using my quill. That gets copied with a fountain pen, to be copied again using a ballpoint, and is then typed up on my wonderful IBM Selectric. From there I copy it into Word, and finally it lands on Blogit! That way I never lose anything, LOL!
And yes, 13-year-olds can be mysterious, even to themselves! I know that from personal experience...

I do the opposite...I put it on blogit and then copy and paste if I need it for something else....enjoy your visit and don't worry ... he's at that age where he is seeking to find his niche or place and rebels alot....but nice to know he has wonderful manners

I too use a word program, then copy and paste. It's your safest bet, and you can do all of your spell checking and corrections beforehand. And as for trying to think like today's 13 year-olds, all I can say is . . . don't! And if you're trying to remember what you were thinking about when you were 13, I say . . . don't do that either! Each endeavor is like putting a square peg into a round hole! It's possible . . . but it requires a lot of work, and you may not like the end result!

I hope you have a marvelous visit! I have stopped putting my posts on directly to Blogit because I have lost so many in the past! I use a word program then copy and paste! What a wonderful thing you and others are doing to help those who cannot read! What a blessing for them, too! sam
