I definitely do not climb anymore--not trees, no ladders, no stepstools, never could climb greased poles, don't bounce on son's trampoline, gave up bike riding and jumping rope. If I can't do something with my feet on the ground, I just don't do it. But, it was fun while it lasted.

Being all thumbs, I let others do the home improvement stuff. But painting is another thing, pictures, that is. My Mom started when she was well advanced in age, and I have one of her pictures on the wall, and everyone admires it. My eldest son paints extremely well, and I have thought trying my thumbs at it as well...

I myself avoid ladders like the plague. Heights and I do not get along...I know a lot of people who get into the mood to improve as well after watching those home improvement shows.

I have to be careful on ladders too ( a slight touch of vertigo ). And hey, no matter your age, if you feel some home improvement tasks are needed, just go right ahead. Just remember to pace yourself! Have a good day, y'all! ( did I pronounce that right? Not bad for a yankee! )

LOL! Justi, you funny lady!!
And I'm with you. The ONLY thing I don't like about getting older is my inability to do physical things that I once did. Need renovations here too.
If you ever do paint that picture, hope you'll put it up on Blogit so we can all take a gander? And you know what? Flushing the toilet is a very, very important task, as I discovered when the power went off and I was melting snow for 3 days to do just that!!
