That's one of the few things I have never managed to do, LOL, but it would not uposet me much if I did. I'd call CAA, our equivalent of AAA, and they'd have it open in no time. I called them last year over a flat tire - it took them all of 15 minutes to show up, and no morev than five to change my tire...

I've done that a couple of times. Don't you just love that sinking feeling when you first notice what you did.

PHEW! I'm sure glad you were able to get out of that pickle, FSI! I have to say that losing or locking my keys in my car is something I will never have to expirience...and for that, I'm thankful!

Yeah, patience is always the key! Believe it or not, I've only locked my keys in the car twice in my whole life, and I remember both episodes clearly ( the last time was about 25 hears ago! ). I'm extremely cautious when it comes to things like that, although accidents can happen . . .

That is some major growth for you! I locked my keys in my car in New Orleans back in the 70's and people were trying to accuse me of breaking into it! LOL! It all worked out because a police officer came by, summoned I suspected, and was able to unlock it easily! I did not get furious at locking the keys inside but I was furious that folks would think I was trying to break into a vehicle in broad daylight! sam

Re: lustorlove
I have one of those vehicles where you can automatically lock the keys with the door. What I tend to do is open the door, push the button to lock it. This time I thought I had my keys on me but they were on the seat. I'm working to break that habit and just automatically lock them with the remote when I get out of the vehicle.

I have a question how do you lock your keys in the car, dont you need the keys to lock it. That is one reason I have insurance and roadside service with me being a lone and my daughter alone a lot its always nice to have them to help out.

I am so proud of you. There is no shame in making mistakes. The shame is when one expects others to be so perfect they would never do that. Have a good day!

Congratulations, FSI! You deserve to be proud of the way you handled it this time and yes - I've locked my keys in the car more than once!
