Hi sweet lady you can come up this way and visit us. It will give you a break from always summer. You live in Island weather. We have seasonal changes but rarely a cold winter and snow for more than a powdering. Yes I am in North Alabama.

Thank you  Justi for the lovely invitation :-)  I take you are down south ... so am I :-)  Heck , you can not get any more south than I am at and still stay in the US unless you go to the keys loll  and our Winters down here ... actually... what winters?  loll  we had 2 days of 40s at night here but during the daytime it went up to 70s again... I advise all to go to you though... if only for the company :-) Great post  xoxoxo

Naut

It would be for you it is lakes not ocean but sailing is a way of life for many here. We have a friend who just turned 80 and last year he built an airplane, flies it. His wife died a few a couple of years ago and previously to her becoming ill they sailed for two years on American rivers. The one thing is that people who visit stay or come back to retire.

Re: Justi

Well don't we all know how that is now. We will have to work on that for next year. It would be wonderful. Love to you both.

We have (George does) three children who live in Mobile. We are six hours north of there they think we are yankees. But he could help you with this, just know that the roll he will spin on the end of each word can be eliminated once you are this far North. We are a small town and by far the prettiest in the state or maybe the South.

Wow! Is a second language a requirement, or can I just try to get by with what I already use?  I have an uncle who lives in Alabama ( Mobile ). Perhaps he can guide me to your place . . .

I don't live in GA. I lived in Atlanta for a long time but I live in Alabama and I was born in Alabama but we talk pretty much the same as those in Georgia.

The language study guide would work well, I imagine...Georgia's a state that I need to spend some traveling time at. The only time I was there was an overnight stay in Atlanta on the way to Orlando.

Loved it.  My dad was born and raised in Oklahoma and he used a lot of those.  Brings back good memories.  This snow is much prettier than the last one as it is so wet and sticking to all the tree trunks and limbs and power lines.  But it is very heavy and destructive and there are many without power.  So far my "power, power, wonder working power" still holds.

Haha! I would fit right in - most of those terms were used around me as I was growing up, and I still use many of them now.
