It is not a hobby. During the last part of my being able to work I developed a scent and a product for Oneida Crystal and sold them 20,000 units every three months for a few years. It was a full time job for 13 years. I am just doing some small stuff now mostly to see if I still could.

That seems like a wonderful "hobby" to have. I must admit I'm not one for lotions and oils myself, but I do know of their value for various ailments and skin conditions. They sure look marketable to me . . .

Yes the Web would have been more effective had it been older. We had the first web page in this town I believe. We did fine for a time almost 13 years but never what we could if we had been able to get the proper funding.

I am not looking for volume of buyers just a few faithful ones. I made it in response to a former user. I have a few. The product is costly as some of the ingredients are too costly to offer it on the open market at a decent price.

I did that years ago they were both under our label and private labels actually around the world. It is so much more complicated than just making a lot of it. Operating capital is a big factor, in the US for a woman to get any government assistance a lot of collateral is necessary and available. I already had the collateral in hock for the start up. We did well for a long time and I still own all the formulas and I was able to hold on to the collateral. I had an aneurysm and could not continue to work for too long a time.

you should of got them in special stores and built the business enough that you could of hired someone to take over for you.

WEll Justi I think you could have done well if the net had been vibrant . So many old recipes have been lost, but as you say There is a limit to one's ability, but it has been a wonderful achievement.
