Good question . . . one I've asked myself many times, right up until I stopped listening to the radio altogether! It's become a terrible medium!

I find it to be quite irritating. I've switched over to audio books. Much more fun.

They call it safe music, the kind of music people like and will keep listening too over and over again until they finally ask why the station does it, see how well it works?
