Winds were very strong too - no visibility on the roads. A good idea to stay inside, Kabu - and are you sure the gnomes didn't go for a secret beer-run?

As long as you are alright and no bears around, but I would not go out to the privy at night, if it is down the qarden path unless you take a torch and a stout stick. Well how do you think the ancestors managed.

Kabu

Dear one you two stay warm. I am so sorry about all the poor people without heat and cannot even get around on the streets. You stay snuggled in until this passes.

We even got a few inches, I bet there is a 12 foot base up at the ski places by now, if not more. I do pray for those on the east coast though...Stay warm you guys.

I think you made a great decision to stay in! I still can't understand why people go out in and lose their lives, makes no sense! I saw the news for the plane landing of the Maple Leafs and it would have frightened me to no end to be landing at that time! It looked treacherous! sam

Not only have we not had any snow, it is warm and lightly raining and our grass is getting green.  Probably we will get a big snow the last of March.  It's always crazy weather around here.

Re: Kabuiepie-;)~

LOL at WileyJohn.  I was picturing Kabu hankering for a beer and unable to get out in the snow to buy more.  LOL

Kabu

Actually we didn't have it bad at all - only about a foot of snow! And today we had an absolutely gorgeous day, not a cloud in the sky, and in the sun  it was even beginning to feel warm...

I am sorry you had it so bad...  I am in Englewood NJ visiting my daughter and they said it was going to be very bad but it was not... about a foot of snow and strong winds but not much damage... I had a ball playing with the grandkids in the snow !!!  we made a Mr. and Mrs snow people loll  and later on went for a short walk through the woods.  The kids were amazed at all we saw,  birds squirrels and other little creaters I did not even know what they were... maybe  field mice or something like that ,  all of them were running around , probably trying to keep warm the poor things.  My daughter will not let me feed them .  She is afraid bears will come after the food  loll   Bears in NJ!  loll  Whatever... she is crazy ,  but I got to listen since I am in her turf.  I am going to Boston tomorrow so I know it will be worse there...  <<>> I can't even imagine how cold it is where you are.  Be well darling and stay warm  xoxoxo

This is the second weird winter in a row.

We never used to have tornado or hurricane-force winds this time of year. And it was cold for months, frozen ponds, skating on Leclaire Lake, etc. Not for years now.
