It is awesome to see that they have a warm place to stay where they are not afraid, isn't it?

PAMy favorite they dropped, that is the night that I chaperoned the homeless families at another church. So rewarding was breakfast with a little black boy. He opened the box of cereal for me. We both liked it love. BC-A, Bill’s R®st

Nautikos

Thanks Naut but it is only what we are called to do as Christians. Our community is blessed with the knowledge that we must do what we are called to do. Christian groups, the large ones, are the real base of the giving as in the New York - New Jersey area now. They are groups who are still there giving food, blankets and whatever is needed. The government is ignoring the whole situation to so many some of whom are still without heat. We will soon be able to get some tomatoes from Florida. We don't buy them much in the winter, ours are so bland at that time. I can a lot of them in the Summer. I can them whole and with as little cooking as possible. They make great substitutes in some cases. Tomatoes are the fruit of the tree of life I am sure. lol

Oh honey I am not such a good person, no not at all just doing what I am called to do. I am very privileged to live in an area of Christianity doing what it is supposed to do. Help those in need, hold out hands to pull them up not just toss in bread crumbs. Thanks for reading and commenting. Be blessed dear lady. xoxoxo

Yes it is amazing and our congress is in the corrupt wheeling and dealing up to their eyeballs.

Re: Kabu

Oh dear lady I am no out there waging war alone. There are so many individuals and many couples or groups like George and me who are helped by some who give us funds to get to our ministry, buy Bibles, teaching books, and in the case of those in jail it is not uncommon to need to provide clothing for them, sometimes food and clothing is needed for families. People hurting love little gifts such as Christmas cards, valentine candy, Easter eggs, etc. so little but in such multiples so much. Thank you so much for your prayers. But I am not doing more than I am able.

dancin grandma

Yes, yes I know so many like you daughter. I am not sure this 'reaching their bottom' is all it is touted to be. They love their children or parents, want to stay clean but do not stay in meetings, care of those who can help and grow strong long enough to step up and out. I am praying for you and your little granddaughter and grandson. God bless you dear she will come home when she decides to stay with help long enough and solidly enough to clean up. God bless you.

Wow you were in the most aggressive and hardest to work area of the broken and sad. One of the most important notices you mentioned is the corruption of the political, civic and enforcement groups that gouge, hinder progress of growth and con money out of these people in an Ungodly manner and amount. The lack of compassion among those making a dollar off these people is incomprehensible to me. Thank you for your comment.

Keeping busy is good, but wow, what a way to keep busy.

It's all very sad! And it would be worse if it were not for people like you and George and others, who do such admirable work...

On a slightly more cheerful note, and since you asked, we're getting our tomatoes from Mexico...

You are such a good person Justi...  When we look at the bad side of life and feel the hopelessness that there exists,  we should remember there are people like you :-).  G-d bless you.  xoxoxo

It is amazing where all of the money is going.

It breaks my heart to read so much misery and hopelessness and we have

been given this gift of life, and it is destroyed. The way you keep on assisting, working with these poor lost souls I pray for your health to stand up to the rigours of all that you do sweet Lady.

Any of these girls could be my daughter. But, Justi, it is not always that help is unavailable. My daughter has had so many opportunities to clean up and does for short periods of time. Yet she slides back into drugs at the slightest provocation. I'm not sure what her bottom will be. I can only pray for the Spirit to convict her at this point and give her the strength to stay on a straight road.

Adnohr is right about the dealers.

I know how you feel, Justi. After working 4 years with people in the street, I was reeling from the terrible sadness that results from the drug trade. Those who profit from it are selling their fellow humans into bondage, and don't give a sweet damn. Money, in this case, really is the root of the evil. Even politicians, cops, and those who are supposed to be helping are often involved...selling the souls of their brothers and sisters for the almighty buck.
