Things sure have gone up - but the most worrying thing is the absolutely staggering US debt, which keeps growing at a prodigious rate...And of course that does not only affect Americans...

Its so true... everyday things costs more and there is less and less money to pay for them... I guess Mr. Obama has all the money we do not have... that is how he can afford to have those trillions and billions away to this useless program and that funny project... YOu knkow, coming from a latin background I expect politics to be dirty and when things like this happen in other countries the people, the common man in the streets that is suffering the blunt of it usually knows to find out whose pockets are being lined with the missing money... because my dear Justi... money does not dessapear... and he ( Mr. Obama) can blame anyone he pleases but the truth is the bucket stops with him... xoxoxo

Who else can they blame Justi. They cannot blame a President of the future . We are just the same and it will get worse, there are not enough taxes to pay out benefits and why work if one can get more by staying at home. This has been the problem if they were all like George it might not have happened. Keep smiling.

Excellent post, Justi. I don't know enough about politics to give an educated response, and I doubt it all comes down to one man, however powerful he is, but I do know that what you have written is true. Everything has jumped in price, and jobs are more and more scarce.
