That is a long travel time! I doubt I could handle it! sam

Reading this makes it all the more impressive to me the things people go through on those long flights. The longest flight I have ever been on was a few hours.

I always get the window seat by the emergency exit. They ask you if you can operate the door, which is an added responsibility, but that responsibility comes with extra leg room and plenty of space for you tray and exits. I canceled my blog subscription yesterday as I thought the sky was falling in on me...funny how things can change overnight.

that is one reason I dont fly and my flights are short ones

That really isn't sounding appealing.  Perhaps you should get a flight where you have to change planes part way so you can go to the loo at the airport

Well you make me want to go to wee just reading this and now I certainly will not ever visit the home of some of my dubious relatives unless I can go by submarine.

Just imagining being stuck in the plane for long hours already made me feel dizzy.

Sounds like Blake and Yvette's trip to France

only they had to sit in different sections of the plane and then lost each other for 4 hours in Germany.

Nephew is flying Baltimore to Melbourne very soon.  That sounds like to the end of the earth to me.  I'm glad it's not me.  I'll look at his pics if he has time to take any.

I just finished writing you a long comment and it just vanished. I got it. I should be less verbose in my comments. I am so sorry you have to go yearly, it is a long trip. I wish there was another way to visit, take care of business and make it easier. We all join Wiley in missing you while you are away. We all love you dear lady.

To travel now a days is truly a pain... so I do not envy you having to take those loooong flights... and I do miss you too,  perhaps not as much as Wiley but I do :-(  but I know you enjoy seeing your kids so ... I am also happy for you when you do go :-)  Be well darling xoxoxo

Oh no! I'm already wary about just being off the ground...and for Xmas my son and Japanese daughter gave me a trip to JAPAN in April (Cherry blossom time). I know the trip will be worth it, and I'll meet the in-laws, but...there's the fog-sitter problem...and the lo-o-o-ng flight.

The longest flight I have ever been on was two and half hours ( from New Jersey to Texas ). I can't even fathom a 24 hour flight! I think I'd probably have to be unconscious for the bulk of it, although I would be mighty stiff when I did wake up!

So, are you preparing us for an imminent departure, with tales of Aussie summer and living upside down to follow?

But there's a reward you can enjoy at the end, after a limbering up...
