I am not a parent, but I am a husband. I'm also a human being. There are many lessons in life that may be passed on from the parent to the child, and many other lessons that we simply have to learn on our own through excperience. The instinct for survival is the most prevelent characteristic in all creatures, as is the instinct to reproduce. But as far as choosing a mate, that has to be one of the most difficult tasks of all! Although I did not meet my wife until we were in our early forties, I am actually glad it took so long. She is the first, the last, and the only, and I am so thankful I didn't rush into any other marriages before her! As for the Adam & Eve metaphore, I'll have to agree with Naut. I'm just not sure about the reality of that either!

I know what you mean, though I'm not at all sure about Adam and Eve, LOL...

Oh, and 'Max' was actually called 'Jag'...

I made a huge mistake with the one I married and even though he was there I still felt like a single parent! For me, we are safe when we follow the teachings of Jesus! sam
