Kabu
I so know your story. A rocky path to walk. Be happy!

Rough also, but you got through that too and gained a good profession. And now you have a son who is outstanding and his family, and a good husband during your retirement. Nice poem and previous blog, that gives a good idea of what the ride was like and why you had to get off.

Kabu...........
I guess our lives are the teaching ground for our future, wouldn't you say? All the ups and downs we must go through. Very thought provoking and well written but with a very rewarding ending! You got Wiley!

It was a good move so far but carry on, I like your style nothing heavy, but we get the grist. And then you see Kabu after he swallowed the bacon. Did you ever wish you had gone off with the man on the motor -bike.

I once had a bipolar roommate. It is very important that bipolar people take their lithium or prescribed medicine; unfortunately, they often think they don't need it, and actually crave the manias.

What a time you had, but you worked through it and came out the winner. Your sons will remember that when/if the going is rough for them. You are their shining example even at times they may forget.

Isn't it amazing when one looks back and realizes all one has gone through? One wonders, or at least I do, how one managed to summon the fortitude to survive all of that... and yet you did and there you are, not tired and bitter but sweet and full of energy and ideas... You are truly an inspiration to me darling xoxoxo

I am sorry you have had so much trouble. I know what you are talking about is a close way too, very difficult.

Yeah, I guess that just about sums it up, LOL. BTW, I much prefer the old expression for this condition, manic-depressive. It's much more descriptive, but of course fell victim to the general PC trend of 'neutralizing' our language and robbing it of its expressive content. Having manic-depressive tendendies myself, I at least keep calling it that...

I'm sorry you had to deal with this, but it made you who you are
and that's perfect as far as I'm concerned. Hope he does get help, for your kids' sake. That was a wild ride, Miss Kabu, but you won the day. :)

Very descriptive, your poem, Kabu! I can't think of a better way of showing the final release, gratifying in spite of the hardships involved in going it alone with two kids.
