JimmyA Do you know anything about how we became a Nation?

A silversmith rode on horseback across the country to warn the citizens to get ready the Red Coats are coming. Afterward we had a country. Maybe many have the money to go to another country but most of us do not!

I think there may be a fine line between "our freedoms" and "our protections." If every citizen was armed, how many would take up those same arms to actually fight against their government? I know this smacks of revolution, but if push came to shove, I believe more people would simply flee rather than fight! Let's hope it never comes to that!

It does tread on our freedoms! If for no other reason it must be protected! The Government gets one thing and then they want another and another... sam

Well Justi we are not allowed guns, but I expect they would sell like hot cakes if we were.

It wouldn't do me any good to have a gun.  I would never shoot it at anyone.

What a crazy world we live in...  Can't really think about all of that today... I am too sad already and I am afraid thinking again of those poor angels cut down by that poor crazy kid would truly push me over the edge...  but this was a  great post Justi... and uyou are right... absolute gun control is not the answer... mental care more available perhaps is... Be well  xoxoxo

You are telling the truth. I bet at least 80% of those voting do not know who his real father is and that he was a card carrying Communist! Sad!

I too ran short of space the other day. As for gun control, in the Weatherman manifesto, written by Barack Obama's buddy, Bill Ayres, it says that about 25 million Americans would need to be  exterminated to change from Capitalism to kind of Socialism Barack Obama's father dreamed about. I think if Americans took some time to look into the friends and families of the leadership of this country and who they have appointed to powerful positions it would scare the hell out them. We spend more time on our votes for American Idol than we do the President and all the while we are being poisoned by the liberal media. They must get guns out of the way to proceed.

I wonder where the gun control debate will go.

Weird - Kabu had a problem with being cut off after putting in a picture the other day too. Maybe Blogit needs a re-haul? Interesting facts there, Justi.I'm still out on the vote for gun control. I'm not sure.....

As to your question - I don't know! As to the figures of the various countries you mention - whatever one thinks of gun control, these are not the best examples, since they include periods of war, when all bets are off anyway...

The large blank space at the bottom is what it did not print. I have two more contries and what I thought of the whole issue but Blogit cut it out I wrote it in again and it still would no print it. Does anyone know why I can't get in more than 288 words?
