'Endo' (from the Greek) means 'inner', and an endodontist is someone who works on the inner part of the tooth, i.e. the root and root canal. It just sounds nicer and more esoteric than 'root canal', and is therefore more expensive, LOL...

always interested in another story. Yes endodontist...sounds like a
first cousin to a proctologist!!!! I reckon you should think about that toofy. If you go through all that and have to still pay money and no guarantee that it will be the end of the trouble. Why I am crying for you just thinking about it.
