Great ideas, and great concepts, but since greed usually rules the day, and people continue to "bargain hunt," their thoughts of helping out other Americans will probably be lost. And I swear by gift certificates nowadays. It's just so much easier, and a much more appreciated gift than to purchase something the other person may not have necessarily wanted!

Good thinking Justi I always like American goods for quality and we used to have a buy British theme here. perhaps it costs a bit extra, but one cannot put a price on quality.

Yes I have read this before and taken it to my heart
I try as much as possible to buy from north America, the UK and of course Australia and a massage now that is a wonderful idea as are all the other ideas to keep the finances close to home in one's own community.
