I've never been in a hurricane, but I remember trying to get out of Myrtle Beach before one hit.  What a mess at that airport evacuation.  People everywhere trying to get flights, sleeping on the floor waiting.  And I thought we would never get to take off.  Sat in the plane on the tarmac for hours and hours waiting our turn.  Grandson Peter was young then and he was with me.  He thought it was a great adventure.

Til now, at least here in Jersey! Hurricane Sandy, immediately followed by a wicked Nor'Easter? Nothing like I've ever experienced before!
