Very interesting post.  I agree, America does seem to be dumbing down, and for the most part, they don't even seem to know it.

Yes I will. It has been done in a spectacular manner. We are too dumb to elect a president who even believes in his own country.... Thanks,

Justi

You make some interesting observations. Anyway, you might want to take a look at Charlotte Iserbyt's book, The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America...

I share your same sentiments about the kids of today and you said it so well in your second last para Justi. Be blessed too.

Changes have to happen, Justi, and we can feel them coming. Not only in the way we spend what we don't have, but also in relationships and the way we treat others, the way we think. I suspect that very soon now we'll be back to the drawing board. Let's hope we get it right this time.

For me the break down of the family not just the core but the extended even

more so has played a big part in the  way our societies have travelled.

I agree completely. In fact, you might actually like and appreciate my second book "Welcome To America - Society In Decline." If you're angry, dejected and disappointed now . . .

I do feel that there has been a sort of decay going on...

Sadly Justi we have been living in a bubble of prosperity, it has burst.Young folk walking around with 5 credit cards unwittingly mortgaging their future. All governments have been to blame. It has happened so quickly and with it the break down of family life as we knew it. I know times were harsh, but everyone had a sense of responsibility and I cannot ever remember thinking one would get something for nothing.
