I'm wondering how long it will take everyone to get back to normal after Sandy. My nephen who lives in Brooklyn, NY is still working from home because of all the transportation problems. He was one of the fortunate ones who never did lose power.

So happy that Sandy wasn't too hard on your area. I had about the same here, but power was off only the one night. Kool that your mom's place is always spared for power outages!
