TAPS

My Great great grandfather was a master potter. Two of his daughter's husbands apprenticed under their father in law. One is the family of McPherson which is this great aunt, and the other is Henry family and my gg grandfather is Belcher. These three groups of pottery are very rare now and bring a lot of money when they are sold. Most of us decendants don't have any of very little. It is beautiful. The particular glazing here is one of the several invented by my gggrandfather. Thank you I am glad you like it.

Nautikos

All three branches of the family had some impressive hallmark designs and particularly in their glazings.

Well I have two from my Great Great Grandfather or I had, I gave them to my daughter. They are fairly valuable because they show one of his most defined famous markings. She is careful with them I do hope she will continue to be, as I am sure she will. I gave them to her so I must take my hands and mind off them.

Very impressive! And I have never before seen one with a handle at the bottom which, of course, is an excellent idea for a crock this size...
