And to you as well. This is my favorite time of year! I even look forward to Winter ( I'd much rather try to get warm when I'm cold, than try to get cool when I'm hot! ). But I'm not looking forward to shoveling any snow! Maybe we'll get lucky this year!

What a lovely arrangement. I love to see the fall decorations everywhere. If the weather permits, we will have the little ones by the car load on Halloween night and I don't mind until the big kids show up! Then the lights go out.

I still like Halloween - I won't allow the crazies to spoil all the fun for me, and I enjoy the shiny faces of the little tykes who come to our door, safely chaperoned by Moms and Dads...

SI organized a Halloween event with Dunkin Donuts at the church that I belonged to in the late 70s and 80s. My present pastor at my childhood hometown church where I went to Sunday School doesn’t feel comfortable with Halloween. Another church had a Halloween costume party one year. The following year they had a Bible figures costume party for Halloween. For myself I do use the Halloween theme in some way on some posts love. BC-A, Bill’s R®st

Just love this it is absolutely elegant. I always over do it. LOl
I agree with you, I just don't get Halloween, it is all ugly and cruel looking and we never used to have it in Australia...and if little children can't be safe collecting a little candy, life is really sick. Like you I celebrate Thanksgiving with the fall colors and foods and the freezing weather up here so suddenly.

Is that a pumpkin pie scented candle? I love pumpkin pie, topped with whipped cream and served with black coffee. The Fallscape is great.

Wow! That's so pretty, Justi! Here children can still dress up and do the rounds without worrying about harm - then there will be a party for a number of mini ghosts and goblins at my house...with some of the adults wearing costumes too. We have great fun at Halloween....and at Thanksgiving....and just raking the leaves to jump into....
. And had our first snow flakes today!!!!
