Yes, he should have said Ted. I mean the man was going to retire and leave baseball with a 400 batting average, he didn't need to bat his last at bat, his coach said he was going to send in another hitter, Ted said no and went to bat, had a full count on him, if he struck out he would lose his 400 batting average, the next pitch came and he hit a home run into the right field bleachers where to this day one red seat sits among a sea of green seats marking the spot where the ball landed. It was the last 400 batting average ever and it was done after Ted came back to baseball from being a fighter pilot in world war 11 and it was not the only 400 batting average of Teds career, something the Babe never did...The dog should have said Ted.
