We had been getting those annoying phone calls as well. Guess what? They are probably part of a scam! The latest reports are that someone pretending to be from Apple, or Windows, or whoever, will tell you your computer is about to be shut down unless you give them certain personal information to keep your ISP and computer up and running. DON'T DO IT! It's a falsehood! And today, it's just simple common sense to never, ever give out your S.S. number, account numbers, credit card info, etc., to anyone over the phone! The calls are annoying, but you're better off simply ignoring them!

I am not sure that kids today are really aware of books outside fo school. TV and xbox are so much less effort...

Children are more into technology these days than books Kabu which is quite a sad thing. I used to read and be totally immersed in it that I lose track of time and can't wait till I finish the book to know the ending!!

I've heard that about the crank calls too - just set the phone down, walk away for awhile, and you screw up the caller's whole day!!

I get so many annoying calls myself that don't give up when they are asked to remove my name. I have quit answering most. That should be good news for your son about the sailing medal!!

Someone told me that for calls like that it is good to just set the phone down without hanging up and go about your business for a time until you hear that noise to hang up. It holds the caller up for several minutes and he/she can't call anyone else for quite a time. It is said that they will stop calling a number who does that to them. If you hang up right away, they just call again another time.

Well I have got to write something in a minute Kabu. Dear me someone asked how I spelled my name today . I shall have to write it down, i find it is easy to do with out thinking, but once one starts thinking about it one wonders if one called Jasmine or Jackalad.

I seem to just know when you write. Of course that US was good enough for a pun.... Maybe the storm will change its mind and just softly rain and cool things a bit. That is what we need here too. I think your chat is always fun, yes today I need to read a book.
