Re: Question

I don't mind at all aceblade. My personal view on religion is that it has become too political. Religion has become part of a system, instead of a belief. I grew up catholic, believing in God but so many things have opened my eyes to the deciet and lies that have been shown and told, ie: the wars(in the name of religion) the way people twist and miscontrue the word of God and what's been written to benefit themselves in either word or action for their wants, the hypocritical way people show themselves and hide behind religion, that I no longer hold onto "religion" as something to believe in. Today, I am a spiritual person, who does the best I can to be kind, generous, and honest. I make mistakes and try not to beat myself up thinking I'm going to be denied a "heaven" because of them. I realize that I am human with human emotions, traits and behaviors. I don't use my spirituality as a means of being able to wrong and be forgiven without going through the human action of trying my best to make amends. I have a poem called "My faith" which I'll post and hopefully that will give you some insight as to what and how I believe. Spiriutality is such a difficult concept to put into words because it's so personal and abstract, that mere words could not explain my feelings or my faith. I believe that everything happens for a reason and that we can't always see what that reason is, if, in fact, we are ever awarded that insight. I don't know aceblade, I could go on and on, pages and pages of what I believe, but it seems the more human words I try to put to something so immortal and inhuman the more convoluted it gets. How does one describe "love" or "hate", how can one put meaning in words to true "serenity" or peace of mind, spirit and soul? How does one explain their soul for that matter?

I never mind anyone asking questions, that's what I want my work to do. I want people to question and think, and requestion and rethink. Sometimes it comes out in a dark poem, sometimes in an "in your face"(or so I've been told) style, but I never mean to offend or judge. I hope I've answered your question without leaving too many others unanswered. Feel free to explore more. I'm pretty much an open book and never mind sharing what I think, believe, or feel. I really rather enjoy it. I hope the "my faith" poem helps you understand more of the way I feel about my own faith and spirituality. Enjoy and thank you for the read and the visit. I appreciate it. :-) Have a wonderful day.

Blessings.

Question

Would you mind giving me a little more insight as to what your beliefs are?  You (are ya'll) write a lot about Jesus and religion.  In order for me to read your works and fully understand, if it isn't asking too much, would you let me know your stance in or on religion?  You are a very good writer and have a lot of good concepts.
