I expect you sound a bit like the mother when she was training them, a bit irritated and they took it as a warning, but they can't remember for long so the come back and do it again. When you teach them to dance I will adopt ten gnomes. Verdict perfectly normal score top grade 5 out of ten well most only get 2.

Hey, these little creatures are far more intelligent than most people give them credit for. We have the same scenario going on in our yard with the squirrels. They know when food will be available, and when it won't. And my wife simply does not stand for any foolishness! Share and share alike! Everyone knows that!

It was the tone of voice. Even chipmunks had mothers, and those
mothers no doubt told them to knock it off and pay attention. I wish I could have seen the look on your face when it happened the third time. You are no doubt the garden goddess. :)

Nope - you're not. I walked outside at my son's house tonight, and I saw a furry little bum waddling away from the garbage cans as fast as he could move. I laughed and said aloud "Where you off to, Rocky Racoon? You don't want witnesses?" He had disappeared behind my parked truck, but when I spoke he stuck his cute little head around the corner of the fender, and gave me a look! I could almost hear him saying "Duh!!" LOL!!
