Re: Why is this so...this upping of card fees, I mean?
The more money gasoline is the higher the fees because it's per gallon. The margins remain the same.

Yes I imagine they have to do what they have to do
I'm glad I don't have to rely heavily on credit cards for anything anymore.

The card is great for the consumer but not for the business! It seems everything has a cost for convenience! sam

Wow, that is too bad, I get a 4 cent discount just for showing a store membership card, plus a five dollar coupon in the mail twice a year...You should move out west FSI.

I mostly buy gas $20.00 at a time if I'm not going out of my living area.

Re: FormerStudentIntern
I'm not aware of any Oil Company stations doing it. They probably don't feel it. Very few oil company ran stations are left. A lot of them prefer dealers and have what they call jobbers to deliver their gasoline due to liability. To the best of my knowledge all the convenience stores in my area still accept credit and debit cards.

Such is the sign of the times. Personally, I never, ever use a credit card to pay for gas. Cash only!

Is this true with all oil companies? How about the convenience stores at the stations near you? Here some accept debit cards others don’t in the stores. BC-A, Bill’s R®st
