I don't think much has changed when it comes to celebrating Easter, just more commercialized. But kids still look for eggs and go to church wearing their pretty dresses that some company from China made, mommy is too busy to bother.
or never learned to saw as their mom was too busy to teach them

Enjoy as you wish Justi, I am sure it will be better than sitting in a long queue on the highway. Those old times were really joyful, we have lost so much over the years.

You are so right. It is so difficult for those who do no believe to get a handle on any part of Faith.

The spirit inside a child is simply too big and too anxious to be contained, let them wear their new clothes, their pretty hats, and let them play and find eggs. I believe the Savoiur loves to see their smiles even more so on Easter. And to the na-sayers, I say na.

Memories again, justi. Hiding the eggs for the kids was so much fun!! New spring outfits, of course, and families coming together with new bonnets too, and yes - the children were taught what Easter was really about!! Thank you for reminding us not to forget.

Isn't that so special. I agree anyone may celebrate what they want, but I want my celebrations left to me. Be blessed.

I just loved the easter egg hunts with my children and Grandchildren and
Easter hat parades at the infant school and yes...hot cross buns and sea food on Goofd Friday. OK. If you aren't a Christian, don't have the celebration, but don't stop what for me has been life time Celebration. don't please Make me say Happy Holidays.

It was an especially joyful time and I so loved celebrating it with my husband and little boys, and family company for dinner after a wonderful Easter morning worship service.
