I agree wih you totally. I believe the believer has the power to pray even that the vote of the unbeliever be made for both their good.

Justi .. This post reminds me of the country song " Jesus take the wheel". I agree that much guidance is needed in Washington but also believe that Christians and non-christians have the power to decipher between right and wrong and to use their power of one in the voting booth.
Hope we all choose wisely!

I know what you mean. The Bible clearly states that without the Holy Spirit one cannot understand the Bible. When we give ourselves into the hands of the Holy Spirit God guides us as surely as if He were standing there in visibility rather than in Spirit. His sheep know his voice.

When I open the Bible to read, I always ask God to guide me in what He has for me from his word and for the Holy Spirit to interpret ("rightly divide") what I read specifically for what I need to know. When I do that, I never go on to other daily activities without taking some special thought with me.

One does interpret the Bible in many ways, it is not to be done. The Holy Spirit, will rightly divide the Bible for you and give understand as God intended if you give your understanding over to the Holy Spirit. Our government is under the leadership of God almighty. He gives us bad legislation provided we become more secular than Christian. This is what I mean by understanding God, one must be a Christian to understand the words of God unto and inclusive of the last covenant, that of Jesus.

I am sorry I don't get this whole thing, the bible can be interpreted in so many ways, but what does Washington have to do with any of this?

It is an aggressive snake and deadly. We have a lot of poisonous snakes in the South of the United States. I think one could tell from his look he wanted us out. He could not afford for any of them to become to frightened and get too much commotion going on and he was hopping no one would move the table, etc. People gathered the children and took them out. It was scary but controlled.

The faithful must be busy rebuking, and praising in the right directions.

Justi I guess that would be one really unfriendly snake goodness and finish your meal.
Better to remain calm I suppose. Although a bit frightening with little children running around. Good work though.

Satan knows that this is his time, the days grow short, only the faithful can stop him now.
