Re: adnohr

Thank you so very much. Parents in that day didn't have time for snuggly much but they came through with shinning colors when the chips were down. Thanks for reading.

Re:

Thank you lovelyladymonk, it is fun to relive those times for me. They may have been scary then, but as you say we can laugh now. Thanks for the read.

I loved every minute of reading this story, Justi. There nothing like a trip down memory lane, and it was so well done - we saw that you were as daring a child as you are an adult, and felt the love of your mom and dad shining through the whole event.  Great post!

Funny, the childhood traumas we remember as adults Justi.  When I was six years old, I went grocery shopping with Mum and got stuck in the cart!  She jokingly threatened that she'd have to leave me there if she couldn't get me out soon, and I started to cry.

A very kind gentleman helped Mum free me from that horrible cart, thank goodness!  Looking back at it now, I laugh.

Glad you haven't climbed into any more chairs!...

Thank you for visiting me yesterday.  Blessings and Shalom to you, dear lady.

OUch i felt every bump as i read this story. The build up of playing

with the chair until you were stuck was so well written. i could just see that bored little girl, yes i can see where the treouble started from. And what loving parents, work and washing instantly forgotten when their baby is in trouble.

You know how that is. You had children. You will wade rivers to get them out.

The most refreshing part of the story is the love for mother and child and how its soothing comfort can last a lifetime. sam

I remember the part told here clearly; however, I don't remember one single event around it, before or after. Thanks for reading.

A friend of mine once got his head stuck in the railings at a fast food place, the fire department had to come and get him lose. Your story reminded me of situations I got into as a kid and I truly enjoyed the read.

Well it makes a lovely story now Justi. Didn't get much washing done that day, unless you're mummy did it at night.

I can just see that.  I have a memory of my mama doing the ironing and me being bored.  I lined up the kitchen chairs with a bit of space between each one and began hopping from one to the other.  Then I extended the bit of space between each one and did it again.  Only one moved a bit when I jumped and I ended up on the floor between with a broken arm.  Next thing I knew I was riding around in a hospital in a big wheel chair with a big white cast on my arm.

LOL! I can see that you were scared and thought you were in great danger at the time, but I couldn't help chuckling all the way through...
