Old Rugged Cross has been my husband's favorite hymn since he was a kid. I had never heard it until I went with him. It is a beautiful old hymn.

Page 353.
When I was a kid, on Sunday evenings at the little church where my family attended they always had a hymn sing where the members of the congregation would pick the songs.  There were so many requests for page 353 (The Old Rugged Cross) that here 65 years later, I still remember the page in the old Baptist Hymnal.

It's interesting to read of how the church services have changed. My father is Catholic, and having been a child during Vatican II, he saw a ton of changes in the church.

What a grand thing to do! I like church for the fellowship and the sermons seems to give me great comfort, too! Now, pray that your SIL and daughter can have the life they were meant to have and I believe the Lord will answer it! Pray from the heart! sam

No matter how rotten things have been at times in my life and there have

been some rotten times, my Faith has always seen me through. I couldn't have lived this life on my own, I always needed my God.
