You should have your work cut out, keeping your gardens beautiful and your gnomes content with the proper conditions.

Those spring days are going to be great with more light...I'm looking forward to the gnomes...One time when we were supposed to fall back we had an employee who put his clock ahead. He left two hours early.

I am not use to having to be careful what you plant when, in CA you plant whenever and they say dont plant anything until after mothers day. We dont set our clocks here but its spring ahead

Sometimes when we roll the clocks ahead or turn them back
I get to thinking about time as arbitrary -- hours and minutes are a man-made construct. In negative hours I think it's so "the man" can decide how long exactly a day's work lasts. But my body responds to the light and dark. When the sun goes down I get drowsy. I'm up with first light unless the bladder persuades me awake sooner. One of the perks of retirement is, we can go do that. We don't have to be somewhere at eight.

Kabu wipe your lips first. Could you not just stand your gnomes in the porch, it would save a lot of effort, just throw a sack over them in winter. Don't be too anxious, just think all those little plants have come out of warm environment, I try to wait until the ground feels warm it will keep away ground frost, but I don't know if you get those.

The days will be getting longer after the weekend! I am ready for it! I have been out and about in my yard with raking and pruning and transplanting! You are right, it's about May 15 to plant where I live, too! I love to plant seeds for some odd reason but I do go looking for my garden plants! It amazes me how expensive they seem to get as the years pass or maybe it's my wallet that's shrinking! LOL! sam

I HAD NO IDEA IT WAS DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME! This is wonderful news, more time to work outside. I am thinking about having chickens this year, or bees, but must get the garden in first. Thanks for telling me what time it is Kabu.

The Gnomes must be chafing at the bit - no, wait, that's what horses do - what do Gnomes do when they're impatient, waiting to get out? Bite your ankles?
