Re: A mother takes her son for his first job interview
Pat I guess not, I think you probably radiated an air of confidence. Good upbringing.

Re: CCT
Naut, tragic but I suppose someone has got to do it, and I suspect you were more lenient than most.

Jay, yes we keep thinking times are tough, but it needs a bit of reality, we did not get mountain bikes at 10 years of age

I feel deprived of what seems to be a near-universal experience! I don't think I've ever had a real job interview, though I have interviewed others...

My boy Charlie got his first job with a single line from his resume,
I am convinced.
Under "strengths" he had entered: Good-natured.

I got my son his first job...but I never told him to this day..that I stuck
my oar in and got him hired at 13 as an errand boy in an optometrist...and yes, now he is a part owner of the same business.

A mother takes her son for his first job interview
and talks to the foreman? It was different with mine. Mama taught me what to say, and then it was up to me to get the job. In fact, I didn't even want her to take me to school that first day when I was five years old.
