Re: LOL...You have painted yourself into a corner re the computer and Arthur.
Kabu, Arthur soon forgets, or Wrinkly as I call him. I know those voice things were pretty grotty at the start, but they have improved enormously, of course it would be a challenge if you spake after living in different countries and now spake half and half. I just made up that word, actually it is archaic past tense of speak, but I can't change it now one has to spake, shut up CC.

Re:
Sam Well happy Grannies day, you must all do Knees up Mother Brown. Yes I think the ulcer is more difficult to deal with than most things on the surface of the skin. No good news I can tell her.

Re: I love the perspective shifts, from today to long ago and back,
Pat I was just thinking, occasionally one sees a cluster of men usually in the Market Square, they are just chattering, but then they slowly disappear, I don't think they last as long as Grannies. Perhaps their usefulness is terminated by the powers that be. Just to cheer you up.

Re:
Adnohr yes, they used to tease me a bit, when I was a rosy faced young man. I can twist Arthur around my little finger, only he does not realise it.

Wiley well Windows 8 will soon be knocking on your door, but I don't like the look of that. Those laptops are so damned fiddly, I like a good big screen, Good luck with the installer, I could never understand what they were saying, I shall watch with interest your progress, you probably have a better telephonic enlightenment than i have

My Windows 7 is not working of course and Microsoft has promised to send me a new one and a person to install it with me on the telephone. Seems like 7 has a glitch in it so they are sending parts and all for nothing. I sure won't be in a mood to talk to that dang thing afterwards though.

Most grannies can find something to laugh about when they get together. Enjoy the story-telling in your poems. And I have a feeling Arthur is going to make you pay...and pay...

I only knew my one Granny for a short while, but it was long enough to learn real wisdom from her.

I love the perspective shifts, from today to long ago and back,
the young boy's view of the elderly, the "mad hats" and rag rugs. Grannies did what they wanted, and the old men dreamed -- but now they debate the diet and solve computer problems. Very circle-of-life today. Cozy as a shawl.

LOL...You have painted yourself into a corner re the computer and Arthur.
i tried one of those voice things once; it was so slow i had finished telling the story and the dang thing had written one line.
Those Grannies were probably about my age, in their 60's. You were expected to be old by then and to quietly die off before you became a burden to your family.
