I'm afraid there is, Azur... I appealed to the judge for a telephone interview and he refused it. The court clerk also advised against asking for an adjournment as the Respondent (him) is flying out again on the 12th and the judge was unlikely to grant one so I would just be wasting the cost of the application. There hasn't been enough notice to confer/prepare with my lawyer and in any case it would cost more to have her represent me than I am asking him for.
So I'm ploughing thirugh his submission and trying not to get upset - it's just more of the same and I ought to be used to it... smile.. but I admit to being scared of being in the same courtroom with him, by myself. Wouldn't do to take new man in for support (though it is an option)... he would go ballistic, and I don't want to create mayhem... or to give him the opportunity to moan to the kids about what I did to him....

I am sorry to read this, so he prefers to have his day in court than give
you what is yours. How Ugly and I am sorry for you that this has to be. It is a hateful time to live through and seems to just drag on and on.
