Your man sounds eminently sensible! And whenever your daughter phones you and brings up the subject of your ex, I would simply say, "Sweetheart, there's somone at the door, call me back later..."

Daughter is probably being fed lies and hate from her Dad. He's a game
player and will do anything to cheat you out of what is yours.
Children love their Dads it seems no matter what sort of lizards they are. Cling to that lovely man you have now daughter will settle down eventually. I hope.
