I don't care for the mucus of others either; who needs to get sick for no good reason! And, when we are young I think we get caught up in being invincible to a degree but age is an eye opener! sam

Re: I, too, dislike seeing a snot-monster behind the service counter.

Pat I suppose with food it is what the eye doesn't see, the heart does not grieve. I can imagine Dorothy becoming a bit over weight, all those mobile phones checked showed the majority with traces of you know what. A while ago, I had someone to check my computer for fault, the man asked to use the toilet. I put him a towel and some soap, more for my benefit than his. He was quite a while, came out straight back to the machine. Almost reluctantly after prompting he swilled his hands and resumed work .

Re:

adnohr yes even when I phone up for plants or seeds, but always subconsciously note an attitude of the receptionist, and mentally distrust the firm of giving decent service if the receptionist is sloppy. Of ourse online one has no way of knowing, the computer is always pleasant unless one puts the wrong password.

Re: your post reminded me of that wonderful comedy..."Open all hours."

Kabu I liked Hancock and Dad's army, but I keep reading their obituaries these days. I just can't get into the stand-up comedy it is rather crude.

And if she does share her popcorn, she's a keeper!!

In the war days the shop owners could be dictator-like; there was little competition, I imagine. Today that's not the case. I personally have payed more at another store because of rude or little service received at the cheaper one.

I, too, dislike seeing a snot-monster behind the service counter.

If it's where food is sold or prepared, I back away and take my chances elsewhere. As for Dorothy, with her nibbly kisses and curiosity about what you're up to -- if she doesn't share the popcorn, then don't give her too much of your time.
