It seems it comes down to what kind of service the car wash wants to give and the kind of equipment that is used! This is a very informative post, too! sam

the part you mentioned where the parts dont work and sub par equipment sums up the car wash I went to last

Although, from I am, I haven't seen a car wash machine for quite a long time, and it was probably because of this not-clean-enough reason. So, when you need a car wash here, it's all using manpower. It might be cleaned, but not safe if you accientally left something valuable in the car.
