It is nice that in modern times there are "procedures". Back when I was young there were only major surgeries and many long days in a hospital that smelled of ethyl ether.

They say, that for a man, passing a kidney stone is the closest thing to childbirth (the pain). Glad to hear that your Dad is on the mend

Sorry to hear about your Dad, FSI....
I didnt get much reading done yesterday so missed the post about his kidney stones...I'm glad they seem to have the situation under control now.....no snow here yet, but its turning cooler for the weekend..highs only in the 20's - I'd like to get the car washed before I go into hospital on Monday morning..

The snow will help the business and I am pleased that Dad is getting
the medical attention that he needs.

Good news then FS . Dad feels brighter and I wish they would put a bit of salt down our road. You would think there would be plenty in the ocean.

Though I’ve not had them myself, a friend of mine suffered with kidney stones and it can be extremely painful. Glad your Dad got the one that was causing him immediate discomfort taken care of. The second procedure should go smoothly – it’s pretty sophisticated what they can do these days versus surgery.
