I love your wit, C.C.! I smiled all through this post! Like you, I usualy end up sitting chatting with the 'Ellie's, wherever they be, not wanting them to feel left out...then looking for my own way out!!

Re:

What we need Jay is a breath smelling contest for Dogs. Muzzled of course. Fail I can't stand cinnamon or seed cake with  little caraway seeds or turmeric.

Pat I suppose it is not much fun when the world is against one. We used to drown strange ladies not long ago, not a pretty thought.

That sounds like my dog, bad breath and all. I have sent away for some miracle breath something or other for dogs and I sure hope it works. I once had a boss just like her so I feed him cinnamon candy all day...It didn't help.

People like your not-so-welcome neighbor confuse me.

I wonder why she's leeching onto me, why she doesn't have other friends, and I feel the urge to get the hell away. On the other hand I don't want to be rude and hurt someone's feelings if they haven't actually done anything wrong. At the bottom I guess we're all odd ducks.

I know the kind of neighbor you are talking about, I have one of those myself! It seems they show up when you are busy like you said, and they have all the time in the world to wait! I would have wanted to get out of the car, too! sam
